A Long Day

Sometimes real life can be just like the movies in the worst possible way. So on days like today, when everything just seems so unreal, I go home and snuggle with Lola. Or take a hot shower. Or drink champagne. Or get lost in a good book.

Champagne

It also helps to think about this quote:

“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Here’s hoping that tomorrow is a better day than today. Cheers.

Hot Stuff

Because, apparently I’m into poetry right now.

My Dream by Odgen Nash

This is my dream,

It is my own dream,

I dreamt it.

I dreamt that my hair was kempt.

Then I dreamt that my true love unkempt it.

I’m not a poet

Jane Austen says that poetry drives away love, but it’s hard to argue with the likes of Walt Whitman.

Walt Whitman - em Camden, 1891

” We were together. I forget the rest.” -Walt Whitman
